The Bahian village of Itacaré - How to get there, when to go and what to do

Post by joypaulfff »

The wonderful coastal city of Bahia is one of the most beautiful Brazilian destinations. Ecotourism , paradisiacal beaches , trails , waterfalls , Atlantic forest, surfing, relaxation and a very receptive local population.

Let's pack your bags? First, let's look at ti Hong Kong Email List ps on how to get there, when to go and what to do in one of Brazil 's main beach destinations .

Where is Itacaré and how to get there?

Itacaré is a small town on the wonderful Cocoa Coast . It is part of Ilhéus and forms one of the most beautiful coastal strips in southern Bahia . In fact, Itacaré is almost in the center of the Bahian coast , close to where the Costa do Dendê begins.

The charming village is just 75 km north of Ilhéus , where the nearest airport is located . And it is south of the capital Salvador, about 270 km.

Itacaré was for a long time a refuge for Bahian cocoa barons, who fell into decline after the witches' broom plague.

Salvador also has a wide range of flights and sometimes better prices. Access takes longer and is worth it if you plan on taking other sightseeing tours around Bahia!

But the fishing village has been rediscovered in recent decades , access via asphalt has improved, attracting more and more tourists and today it is on the international ecotourism route.

To get there, as already mentioned, the ideal is to take a flight to Ilhéus and then a transfer to Itacaré. In the Freeway travel package , this option is included.
